Authorities in North Dakota are investigating an officer-involved shooting Wednesday that left one person dead in Fargo. The Fargo Police Department said officers were responding to a suicidal individual at a south Fargo home when the encounter took place.

Fargo police are responding to what law enforcement sources say was an officer-involved shooting in the 6100-block of 61st Avenue South. KVRR’s Alex Bertsch reports from the scene that a neighbor reported hearing gunshots at approximately 10:40 a.

Chief Dave Zibolski said his officers were engaged in dialogue with a suicidal man when he came out of a home holding a gun. Multiple officers fired their weapons.

An officer-involved shooting incident is under investigation after a traffic stop escalated when the suspect pulled a knife. According to Boise Police, an officer made a traffic stop just after 3 p.m.
